Gabe and Theresa officially met in Pittsburgh in April 2005 after electronically meeting over the Internet. Despite Gabe's dressing like he just rolled out of bed on their first date, Theresa took a liking to him anyway. Over the next two and a half years, they survived standardized tests, grad school applications, and job interviews together before finally settling in Silver Spring, Maryland with their fat, orange feline friend, Patrick. On December 21, 2007 Gabe proposed in the Sculpture Garden of the National Gallery under An Entrance to the Paris Metropolitain after ice skating. Theresa guessed that he would be proposing while ice skating or bowling, after he inquired whether she was wearing socks on the Metro ride there. Obviously, she said yes (to both the socks and the proposal), and neither one can wait to spend the rest of their lives together.
